DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

Being one of the most established Advertising Diplomas in the country, students are groomed to become a versatile professional in the creative industry, specialising in advertising and marketing communications.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To enrol in this course, students are required to have a minimum of:

  • SPM/O-Level – minimum of 3 credits
  • Minimum of grade B in 3 subjects – UEC
  • Pass Certificate in Communication Studies from IACT College
  • Other qualifications recognised by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia and considered on a case-by-case basis
  • English requirement of: SPM – Grade C/ UEC – B6/ IELTS – Band 5.5

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

This course is designed to integrate a deep understanding of the subject matter with the development of key skills and competencies needed, allowing students to adapt to a rapidly changing, dynamic and competitive global marketplace. Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Understand various disciplines of communication such as public relations, advertising, design, event management, journalism, creative writing, broadcasting and media production.
  • Develop and apply various technical skills in the creative communication industry.
  • Evaluate social, professional and ethical issues related to various mass communication and creative communication disciplines.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking through application of communication theories in different contexts.
  • Construct work that demonstrates proficiency in writing, visual arts production and presentation skills to express ideas clearly and creatively.
  • Work independently and with others to achieve project goals, problem solving skills and innovation in handling tasks.
